Like most social institutions in Nepal, CWA Children’s Home does not receive any state support and has no regular income. Financial donations come exclusively through private donations from abroad and through sponsorship of children.
As ‘one-on-one, single child’ sponsorship might lead to social inequalities amongst the children, we ask for the adoption of so-called collective sponsorships. Not only is in the case of collective sponsorship any specific child supported, but your money flows into the community pool of the Children’s Home for the benefit of each and every child in the Home.
Costs for a single child ‘collective sponsorship’ scheme is 160 Swiss Francs per month or 2,000 Swiss Francs per year.
It is also possible to sponsor only the school costs for a child. This sponsorship pays school fees, school uniform and school materials and comes to 600 Swiss Francs per child per annum.
Irrespective of these different schemes, every donation in support of the Children’s Homeis welcome.
In order to boost accountability the Board of the Association in Switzerland introduced in 2005 a simple bookkeeping system for the Children’s Home covering all expenses and revenues. Besides this a number of other regulated and scheduled activities were introduced. Amongst these is that the Home’s Management in Nepal has a monthly commitment to send the cash book together with bank statements to the Executive Board in Switzerland for supervision. Put in place was an annual check-up of all documents and invoices on site in Nepal. We can therefore say that we have achieved full transparency on the use of collected donation moneys. We can guarantee that 100% of your donated money will arrive straight at the Children’s Home.

More and more people like to allocate part of their wealth to charitable projects after passing away. An inheritance or legacy is a clear token of social commitment and a valuable support to the future of disadvantaged, poverty stricken, underprivileged children in Nepal.
In consultation with a trustee or lawyer of your trust, a clause in favour of our disadvantaged children can be added to your will. For further information we are always at your disposal.
